To me, this forum is about love of inboard boats. It is about the sharing of information and, on a good day, some humor. It is not about post count, brand of boat, or any other superfluous labels that lend themselves to a false sense of superiority. Please, respect one another, try to pass on accurate information, and keep your eye on the ball.

What's the story with that Ilmor engine again?

I think the gelcoat looks pretty cool, especially on the X-2. I like that new tower, but it looks like they've once again managed to make a tower even more expensive than the last generation, haha.

Wow, the automatically folder tower is pretty wild. It has been stated before, but it continuous to entertain me that a boat built for athletes has a "lazy man" feature like that. Maybe the extra weight requires that Ilmor

I doubt that. The panels to each side of the center sun pad open and there are vertical panels to the sides of the motor. Once they come out, even a horse like me can get in there. It's not that bad, really. A whole lot better than doing an oil change on a mid-'90s Rinker POS.

Well, at least I don't have to worry about accidentally posting a picture of the new tower.

I think they look good. Not a huge fan of the tower but considering it's way out my price range my opinion doesn't matter

From an engineering standpoint, I don't like the folding tower design because it only relies on two mounting points on the deck. But if ski antique and bu are doing it and their decks are holding up, I guess it will work on an MC.

From a parking standpoint, if you have to go under anything low to get into your slip, the folding tower would be nice.

One thing I haven't seen is how a bimini is going to be incorporated into the new folding tower.
